We have recently visited Home by Milestone, a new Passivhaus and sustainable building centre taking shape in Matlock, inside the beautifully converted Masson Mills. It's still developing, but there are already manufacturers and displays on site, giving you the chance to see products, ask questions.

We liked what we saw enough to become one of their architectural partners.

As you can see, we have been pretty rubbish at keeping up with our blog and news in the last (too many) years. I want to say we have been too busy, but that would sound like an excuse. We want to continue to be busy, but also keep up with our blog and other updates.

I am very fortunate that majority of our work was done from home before the current difficult situation arose. Prepared designs were, in most cases, consulted over phones, emails or via zoom meetings, drawings and applications sent and submitted online

The government recently published National Design Guide in attempt to illustrate how well-designed places that are beautiful, enduring and successful can be achieved in practice.
